18ft Food truck Ace Of Spuds

Biz On Wheels built this custom 18ft step van for Ace of Spuds, a potato-focused food truck. The build includes a 15KW back-mounted generator, a 96-inch serving window and a full-body graphic wrap with a built-in dry erase menu board.

Power and Climate Control

A 15KW back-mounted generator provides plenty of power for the kitchen. A 15,000 BTU A/C unit keeps the interior comfortable during service.

96-Inch Serving Window and Menu Board

The 96-inch serving window with an awning door gives a long service counter. The full-body graphic wrap includes a dry erase menu board, so the owners can update daily specials right on the side of the truck.

Kitchen Interior and Ventilation

The interior is finished in anodized aluminum with a stainless steel backsplash. A stainless steel hood system with an exhaust fan and makeup air fan ventilates the cooking line. Aluminum tread brite diamond plate flooring adds durability, and all equipment is commercial-grade stainless steel and NSF certified.

Sinks, Propane and Entry

A three-compartment sink and hand washing sink meet health requirements. A 100 lb under-mount LP tank with an access door supplies propane, and a rear entry door with a screen provides ventilation.

Who This Build Is For

An 18ft truck with a 96-inch window and a dry erase menu board suits concepts with rotating specials, such as loaded potatoes, comfort food or seasonal menus. The large generator supports a full line of equipment for festivals and catering.

Customizing a Build Like This

Every Biz On Wheels food truck is custom built to order, so a truck like this can be adapted to your menu, crew size and budget. Common changes include the step van length (from 12ft up to 22ft), generator size and fuel type, the number and size of serving windows, cooking and refrigeration equipment, awnings, TV menu displays and the wrap design. Each build uses commercial NSF-certified equipment and is laid out to meet local health and fire codes. Most custom builds take about 60 to 90 days depending on the job.
