24 ft Food Truck – Bojangles Custom Step Van Kitchen
24 ft Food Truck Built for High Volume Service
This 24 ft food truck was custom manufactured on a new Ford F59 step van platform to support continuous high volume food production. The heavy duty 21,000 lb GVW chassis allows installation of full commercial kitchen equipment while maintaining safe operating capacity. The larger interior space supports multiple staff working simultaneously during peak service hours such as lunch rushes, festivals, and stadium events.
A larger step van layout improves workflow by separating preparation, cooking, and service areas. This allows orders to move efficiently from storage to cooking to customer pickup without congestion inside the truck.
Power and Climate Control System
Reliable power is essential for a commercial mobile kitchen. This 24 ft food truck uses a Cummins Onan Quiet Diesel 20KW generator designed for continuous operation. The generator supplies stable voltage for refrigeration, cooking equipment, lighting, and air conditioning without overload during heavy service.
A 40 gallon diesel fuel tank with internal gauge supports extended operating hours before refueling. Two rooftop 15,000 BTU air conditioning units maintain safe interior working temperature even during high heat cooking conditions.
Service Windows and Customer Flow
The truck includes two 30 inch serving windows allowing separate order and pickup stations. This improves customer flow and reduces wait times during busy service periods. A 10 ft marquis style awning door provides weather protection and creates a professional storefront appearance.
Two commercial TV monitors are installed to display menus, promotions, or order numbers, improving customer communication and efficiency.
Cooking Ventilation and Fire Protection
The cooking line is protected by a stainless steel hood system with exhaust fan and make up air fan. Proper airflow removes grease vapors and heat while maintaining balanced interior pressure.
A full fire suppression system is installed above the cooking equipment allowing safe operation and compliance with typical fire inspection standards required for grease producing appliances.
Interior Commercial Kitchen Construction
The interior walls, counters, and shelving are all stainless steel for sanitation and durability. Stainless surfaces are easy to clean and resist corrosion from grease and cleaning chemicals. Heavy duty diamond vinyl flooring provides slip resistance and long service life.
All installed equipment is commercial NSF rated and designed for daily use rather than occasional operation.
Refrigeration and Food Safety
The truck includes commercial refrigeration units for ingredient storage and preparation. Combined with the three compartment sink and dedicated hand washing sink, the layout supports proper food safety procedures and health department compliance.
Under mount propane tanks provide fuel supply while keeping tanks protected outside the cooking workspace.
Why Choose a 24 ft Food Truck
A 24 ft food truck provides more production capacity than smaller trucks without requiring a semi truck platform. Operators can run full menus and handle large crowds while maintaining mobility in urban locations and event spaces.
The additional workspace improves staff comfort, reduces accidents, and increases output during peak hours.
Built for Long Term Operation
This 24 ft food truck is designed for businesses planning daily operation rather than occasional events. The combination of heavy duty chassis, diesel generator power, ventilation, and commercial equipment supports long shifts and high demand service.
Operators can expand menus, add staff, and grow business volume without immediately outgrowing the vehicle.
Workflow and Staff Efficiency
The interior layout of this 24 ft food truck is designed to support organized movement during service. Staff can move from refrigeration to preparation and then to the cooking line without crossing paths, reducing mistakes and improving order speed. Separate serving windows also allow one employee to manage customer interaction while others focus on cooking and assembly.
The larger workspace helps during training of new employees because stations remain clearly defined. During peak hours this reduces confusion and allows consistent food quality. A properly planned 24 ft food truck improves productivity and creates a smoother experience for both workers and customers.
