Structural Strength & Frame Construction
The foundation of this dump trailer is a heavy-duty 1/4-inch main steel frame, engineered to support high loads without flexing or fatigue. Axles, Suspension & Braking System
This trailer is equipped with two 7,000 lb Dexter E-Z Lube leaf spring axles, each featuring all-wheel electric brakes. The result is a combined 14,000 lb GVWR, providing excellent hauling capacity while maintaining safe braking performance. The E-Z Lube system allows for easier maintenance, extending axle life and reducing downtime.
For added safety, the trailer includes an emergency breakaway kit, ensuring the brakes automatically engage in the event of trailer separation.
Hydraulic Dump System
Powering the dump function is a 12,000 lb (6-ton) hydraulic cylinder, paired with a power-up / power-down hydraulic pump system. This setup allows for smooth, controlled dumping and lowering, even with heavy loads. A remote control is included for convenience, allowing the operator to safely manage dumping operations from a distance.
The hydraulic system is supported by a deep-cycle marine battery, housed in a lockable steel storage box that also secures the hydraulic pump. This protects critical components from weather, theft, and jobsite damage.
Hitch, Jack & Towing Components
For secure towing, the trailer is fitted with a 2 5/16-inch heavy-duty adjustable coupler, compatible with standard commercial towing setups. A 8,000 lb drop-leg jack provides stable support during hookup and disconnection, making it easier to handle even when fully loaded.
Rear Doors & Accessibility
At the rear, the trailer features barn-style doors designed for easy loading and unloading of equipment and materials. These doors include lock mechanisms and hold-back chains, allowing them to remain securely open during dumping or loading operations. This design adds versatility for both dump and flat loading use cases.
Electrical, Lighting & Wiring
The trailer is equipped with a 7-way round electrical plug and a sealed wiring harness, ensuring reliable electrical performance and protection against moisture, dust, and corrosion. This setup supports consistent lighting and brake signal operation, critical for road safety and compliance.
Wheels, Tires & Road Performance
Supporting the trailer are four ST235/80R16 radial tires, selected for durability, load capacity, and stable highway performance. These commercial-grade tires are designed to handle heavy loads while maintaining smooth towing characteristics on both paved roads and job sites.
Finish & Exterior Protection
The trailer is finished in a black powder coat paint, providing a clean professional appearance while protecting the steel structure from rust, corrosion, and environmental wear. Heavy-duty steel fenders further protect the trailer and surrounding vehicles from debris during operation.
