This custom 18ft step van was built by Biz On Wheels for Davalon, featuring a rustic wood-grain graphic wrap outside and a full commercial cooking line inside, with a griddle, range, fryer and refrigerated chef base.
Wood-Grain Graphic Wrap
The truck’s full-body wrap uses a warm wood-plank design with the Davalon logo and food imagery, giving it a distinctive farmhouse look at events. An under-mount generator sits in a side compartment, and an exterior utility box provides access to power connections.
Commercial Cooking Line
The cooking line includes a flat-top griddle, a gas range and a deep fryer under a stainless steel hood system. A refrigerated chef base sits beneath the griddle, keeping ingredients cold right at the cooking station.
Serving Windows and Counter
Large serving windows run along the side of the truck, with a long stainless steel counter for plating and handing out orders.
Interior, Sinks and Water
The interior is finished in stainless steel with aluminum diamond plate flooring. A three-compartment sink and hand washing sink are installed with a wall-mounted water heater, meeting health requirements for a full-service mobile kitchen.
Who This Build Is For
An 18ft truck with a griddle, range, fryer and refrigerated chef base fits chef-driven concepts that want restaurant-style cooking on the road. The layout supports diverse menus, from farm-to-table plates to sandwiches and breakfast, and the themed wrap helps build a distinctive brand.
Customizing a Build Like This
Every Biz On Wheels food truck is custom built to order, so a truck like this can be adapted to your menu, crew size and budget. Common changes include the step van length (from 12ft up to 22ft), generator size and fuel type, the number and size of serving windows, cooking and refrigeration equipment, awnings, TV menu displays and the wrap design. Each build uses commercial NSF-certified equipment and is laid out to meet local health and fire codes. Most custom builds take about 60 to 90 days depending on the job.
