Biz On Wheels built this custom 15ft cargo step van for Food Monger, creating a compact food truck with a Cummins Onan generator, a 5ft serving window and an NSF-certified hood system.
Power
A quiet under-mount Cummins Onan 7KW gas generator supplies power to the kitchen without taking up space inside the truck.
Serving Window and Entry
A 5ft serving window with an awning door provides the service counter. A rear entry door with a screen and a side entry with a flip-up step give the crew two ways in and out.
Kitchen and Ventilation
The interior is all anodized aluminum with rubber flooring. A stainless steel hood system with an exhaust fan and make-up air fan, NSF certified, ventilates the cooking line. All equipment is commercial stainless steel and NSF certified.
Sinks, Propane and Wrap
NSF-certified three-compartment and hand washing sinks meet health requirements, and a 29-gallon under-mount LP tank with an access door supplies propane. A full-body 3M graphic wrap brands the truck for Food Monger.
Who This Build Is For
A 15ft step van with a 5ft window suits owner-operators running a focused menu at lunch stops, breweries and events. The two entry points and compact size keep daily operation simple.
Customizing a Build Like This
Every Biz On Wheels food truck is custom built to order, so a truck like this can be adapted to your menu, crew size and budget. Common changes include the step van length (from 12ft up to 22ft), generator size and fuel type, the number and size of serving windows, cooking and refrigeration equipment, awnings, TV menu displays and the wrap design. Each build uses commercial NSF-certified equipment and is laid out to meet local health and fire codes. Most custom builds take about 60 to 90 days depending on the job.
