Biz On Wheels built this custom 14ft step van for GoGoKU, packing serious power and a premium stainless steel kitchen into a compact truck. The build features a 12KW diesel generator, two A/C units, a 96-inch serving window and a full-body graphic wrap.
Power and Climate Control
A quiet under-mount 12KW diesel generator with an 18-gallon diesel tank delivers reliable power for the full kitchen. Two 15,000 BTU A/C units keep the interior cool, even with cooking equipment running throughout service.
96-Inch Serving Window and Exterior
The 96-inch serving window with an awning door is unusually wide for a 14ft truck, giving GoGoKU plenty of counter space for taking orders and handing out food. A rear entry door with a screen allows ventilation and keeps pests out, and the full-body graphic wrap gives the truck a bold, professional look.
Stainless Steel Kitchen and Ventilation
The interior is finished entirely in 304 stainless steel for a durable, hygienic and professional kitchen environment. A stainless steel hood system with an exhaust fan and makeup air fan maintains proper airflow and safety. Aluminum tread brite diamond plate flooring adds durability, and all equipment is commercial-grade premium stainless steel and NSF certified.
Sinks, Propane and Health Standards
A three-compartment sink and a hand washing sink meet health and safety standards. Two 100 lb LP tanks are mounted on the back of the truck in a secure compartment, giving GoGoKU a large propane supply for long service days.
Who This Build Is For
The combination of a 12KW diesel generator, two A/C units and a 96-inch window in a 14ft truck suits high-volume operators who want maximum service capacity in a small footprint. It is a good fit for busy urban stops, campus service and events where a large truck would be hard to park.
Customizing a Build Like This
Every Biz On Wheels food truck is custom built to order, so a truck like this can be adapted to your menu, crew size and budget. Common changes include the step van length (from 12ft up to 22ft), generator size and fuel type, the number and size of serving windows, cooking and refrigeration equipment, awnings, TV menu displays and the wrap design. Each build uses commercial NSF-certified equipment and is laid out to meet local health and fire codes. Most custom builds take about 60 to 90 days depending on the job.
