Shave Ice and Ice Cream Truck

Biz On Wheels built this shaved ice and ice cream truck on a step van, combining multiple chest freezers, two shaved ice machines and a refrigerated prep table in a bright, kid-friendly design. A safety stop arm on the front adds protection for children at curbside stops.

Freezers and Shaved Ice Machines

Several commercial chest freezers line the interior for ice cream and novelties, and two shaved ice machines let the crew keep up with demand on hot days.

Refrigerated Prep Table

A refrigerated prep table provides cold storage and work space for toppings and other menu items.

Sinks and Interior

A three-compartment sink and a hand washing sink are built into a stainless steel counter. The walls are finished in aluminum diamond plate and stainless steel, with large serving windows and a rear entry door with a screen.

Safety Features and Wrap

A swing-out “Slow” stop arm on the front warns traffic when the truck is serving children. The bright blue full-body wrap features colorful cartoon graphics and frozen treat imagery that kids spot from a distance.

Who This Build Is For

A step van with multiple freezers and shaved ice machines suits dessert operators who serve both ice cream and shaved ice to large crowds. The safety stop arm makes it well suited to neighborhood routes and events with lots of children.

Customizing a Build Like This

Every Biz On Wheels food truck is custom built to order, so a truck like this can be adapted to your menu, crew size and budget. Common changes include the step van length (from 12ft up to 22ft), generator size and fuel type, the number and size of serving windows, cooking and refrigeration equipment, awnings, TV menu displays and the wrap design. Each build uses commercial NSF-certified equipment and is laid out to meet local health and fire codes. Most custom builds take about 60 to 90 days depending on the job.
