This custom wood-fired pizza truck was built by Biz On Wheels on an 18ft cargo step van. It brings a real wood-fired oven onto the road, backed by pizza prep refrigeration, display windows, a TV menu screen and a sound system.
Custom Wood-Fired Pizza Oven
The centerpiece of the truck is a custom wood-fired pizza oven, giving the owners the flavor and presentation of a traditional pizzeria. The oven is paired with a stainless steel 60-inch pizza prep refrigerator table, so dough, sauce and toppings are kept cold right next to the oven.
Refrigeration and Countertops
A stainless steel 35 cu ft two-door reach-in refrigerator provides storage for ingredients. Stainless steel countertops run throughout the kitchen for durable, easy-to-clean prep space.
Power and Climate Control
A 12KW commercial quiet generator with an inverter system powers the truck. Two low-profile 15,000 BTU A/C units keep the interior comfortable, which matters in a kitchen built around a wood-fired oven.
Windows, TV Display and Sound System
The truck has a main serving window with an awning door plus two display windows with awning doors, letting customers watch the pizzas being made. A TV monitor is installed in a window compartment with its own awning door for menus or promotions, and an integrated sound system has speakers inside and outside the truck.
Sinks and Exterior
A stainless steel three-compartment sink and hand washing sink meet health requirements. Outside, a full-body graphic wrap and chrome wheel simulators give the truck a finished, premium look.
Who This Build Is For
A wood-fired pizza truck suits pizza makers who want the flavor and theater of a real wood-fired oven at weddings, breweries and private events. The display windows let guests watch pizzas being made, which helps sell more pies.
Customizing a Build Like This
Every Biz On Wheels food truck is custom built to order, so a truck like this can be adapted to your menu, crew size and budget. Common changes include the step van length (from 12ft up to 22ft), generator size and fuel type, the number and size of serving windows, cooking and refrigeration equipment, awnings, TV menu displays and the wrap design. Each build uses commercial NSF-certified equipment and is laid out to meet local health and fire codes. Most custom builds take about 60 to 90 days depending on the job.
